ABOUT VILLA KANON
Villa Kanon is located in Altea la Vella - a venerable and quiet villa area a few minutes from Altea center and 45 minutes from Alicante airport. This magnificent villa was fully renovated in 2018 and guarantees high quality standards both inside and outside. There are 6 bedrooms with sleeping accommodations for a total of 18 people, including 5 bathrooms and a guest toilet. It can also show to a cosy livingroom and a well equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking.

There are several large outdoor areas where everyone can be provided with their own space. There is an on-site sports and play area with a sports bar, and several terrace areas, including a roof terrace with comfortable furniture and a spectacular view. All bedrooms have comfortable beds and most of them have ensuite bathrooms. Bedrooms and bathrooms have custom designed open wardrobes and furniture. The fresh saltwater pool is 11x5 m and there are sunbeds for everyone.
The house's offerings are accommodated in such a way that you really do not desire to go anywhere else but stay within the immensely comfortable confines of the house. However, if you are in the mood to explore, you can find everything within a 5-10 minutes drive. There are several beaches, Altea Old Town, Altea la Vella centre, L`Olla bay, Golf Course ( 500 m), as well as mountains awesome to hike, right around the corner.

The villa is also perfect in the winter season. Even though the winters most often offers nice and warm temperaturs it is nice to know that there are heating in the floors inside and the airconditioning can switch to giving us warm air. The pool can be heated if nessesary. The village is lively all year around because of locals and all year residents.
The facilities
Cooking
The kitchen is well equipped and the Weber bbq is placed conveniently on the terrace just in front of the kitchen. The kitchen and the main terrace have an outdoor/indoor feeling, as it is connected by big, sliding doors.
There are also plenty of opportunities for ordering food to the house, or have someone come and cook for you.
Free Wifi
You will be well connected throughout the house with wifi. There is also a Sonos system and two TVs connected to the internet - one in the sportsbar and one in the livingroom.
Garden and sports facilities
There is a designed area for sports in the garden where you can play badminton, ping pong, football, dart, bocca, archiery ++ It`s well equipped and you can cool down with a drink at the sportsbar in between matches.
Pool
The saltwater pool is large ( 11 x 5 m) and well maintained. It is easy to access via stairs and has one shallow end and one deep end. The pool has no children safetyguard. There is also a lovely jacuzzi* and an outdoor shower. *The Jacuzzi is closed due to the Covid situation.
Housekeeping
We have property caretakers that will make sure the house is clean when you arrive. They will also clean up when you leave. If you wish to have more frequent housekeeping visits, it is your responsibility to arrange this with the caretaker. Bedlinen and towels are included. Beach towels are not.
Security

The house is at the end of the street in a quiet villa area, and guarantees total privacy. The villa is gated and has an outdoor and indoor alarmsystem directly connected to the alarm company. There are also firealarms all over the house.

THINGS TO DO
There is a wide array of things to do and explore in and around the Altea area. Here are a few examples of what you can do:
Altea old town
This maze of cobbled, narrow and crooked streets with glimpses of the bay, is one of the better features of the town. Other sights include the church of La Mare de Déu del Consol ("Our Lady of Solace"), easily identifiable by its picturesque blue and white domes, tiled with glazed ceramics. There are numerous quaint restaurants near the church, some with a view over the Mediterranean. Altea also have a promenade along the beach with nice restaurants and clear tourquise water.

Golf
There are several golfclubs in and around Altea. The closest one is just 500 m away from the house; Don Cayo Golf

Watersports
El Portet has the closest beach and watersportrentals just 5 minutes away by car. Enjoy your breakfast there, followed by a tranquil paddle board excursion . Nice and lowkey. There is also Portosenso, a lovely beachclub with watersportrentals, and Bay Club at Campomanes marina.

Beaches
A plethora of beaches can be found in all directions from the house. You have sandy beaches in Calpe, and in and around Albir and Benidorm, in addition to pebbled beaches close by in the L`Olla bay, Cap Negret and in Altea centre. You can rent sunbeds almost everywhere you go. The water is very clean and has a beautiful tourquise color.

Themeparks
Close to Benidorm you can find several themeparks and fun activities for kids. Terra Mitica . and Aqualandia are the most popular parks, and are just 20 minutes away by car.

Mountain hiking
In the beautiful mountains behind Altea la Vella you will find several hiking routes. You can enjoy pitstops at some of the small restaurants and markets found along the way.

Welcome to our holiday dream!
We are happy to share with you our holiday dream in Spain. We have looked for the perfect property for years and we finally found the right house in the right location. It was love at first sight with the house and with Altea! We have renovated the house and decorated it with love and tried to create a place as similar to what we always look for in houses when we take our own families on holiday. We wanted to strike the perfect balance between luxury and cosiness. The small village of Altea la Vella and L`Olla provide us with all that we need with fantastic food, beaches, fun and small shops. Marias supermarket is just 5 minutes away and caters to all the fresh food you need.
